Orpington, Kent

We were asked to transform this tired garden and inject bold shapes and structures and soften with lots of new planting.

The garden was stripped out and we were left with a blank canvas. We painted the existing fences black to open up the boundaries and a new oval-shaped lawn gave the garden a bigger appearance.

A new patio was laid and designed so that the new planting would come closer to the seating area in places. Tall green oak posts were erected to screen the compost area behind.

The new planting included a tall Sambucus intentionally positioned within the garden to detract the view away from the tall neighbouring wall. This will over time gain lots of nice height.

Bulbs were planted during the Autumn for early Spring interest through to mid-summer.
