Family Garden

The clients wanted us to complete their large family garden. One half of the garden had been designed many years before and the brief was to tackle the other half, which had varying aspects and soil demands.

We incorporated a much needed seating area for the clients to sit and enjoy the shady end to their garden. Much consideration was taken to ensure the planting within the new areas of the garden fused together with the existing planting where possible.  A new shaped border was created and planted with colourful perennials and shrubs to suite the sunny pool area and carefully chosen shade-loving plants nestled around the new seating area under the shady trees.

The garden was completed with an additional hard landscaped paved circle which nestled into an existing curved Taxus hedge setting off the piece of sculpture perfectly.

“Lesley and Deborah came to see us and photographed and surveyed in detail the areas which were to be altered.  These areas involved north, south and west facing borders in dry shade, partial shade and also full sun.  They discussed with us what would be feasible and took note of our plant and colour preferences which possibly could be included in their design. They also suggested ideas as to how hard landscaping could also be incorporated in their plans. They then submitted excellent detailed designs.

We are absolutely delighted with their work and thrilled with the excellent results. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them, both as garden designers and accomplished plantswomen.”
